In a touching update for the gaming community, Simon Hypixel has announced that the upcoming sandbox RPG, Hytale, will feature a permanent tribute to the late Minecraft legend, Technoblade.
Acknowledging the profound impact Technoblade had on the server’s history, Simon revealed that he has officially received Technoblade’s father’s blessing to add something into the game that honors his memory.
“He was a big part of our journey with Hypixel and I wish for him to be part of this one as well,” Simon stated.
A Call to the Community
Rather than deciding on the memorial behind closed doors, the Hytale team wants the fans to lead the way. Simon is actively asking the community to share their ideas for what would feel like a genuine and meaningful tribute.
Whether it is a legendary item, an NPC, a specific location, or a subtle easter egg, the goal is to create something that truly represents the spirit of Technoblade.
“Technoblade Lore”: The 2015 Job Application
Alongside this announcement, Simon shared a never-before-seen piece of history that showcases just how far back Technoblade’s connection to the team goes.
On March 1, 2015, a young Technoblade (under the name “Techno The Pig”) sent an email applying to join the Hypixel Facebook Marketing Team.
In the email, Technoblade wrote:
“I’ve been experimenting with marketing for the past 6 months or so… My main experience is with youtube ad campaigns on Google Adsense… The main thing I could bring to the team is content (video clips/storyboards/whatever), although I would also be up for helping out with other functions to learn how they work.”
According to Simon, the application was unfortunately rejected at the time because Technoblade was simply “too young back then.”
Looking back, it is a bittersweet reminder of his early dedication and hustle—long before he became the unstoppable force in content creation that we all came to know.
